Channing began working as a law clerk at the firm in October of 2015 while she was still in law school. Since that time, she has devoted innumerable hours to the firm’s class actions against Michigan’s Unemployment Insurance Agency as well as the firm’s several class actions filed on behalf of those affected by the Flint Water Crisis. Channing has also assisted in many of the firm’s civil rights cases, including discrimination cases based on age, national origin, sex, race and disability, cases alleging retaliation and sexual harassment, and violations of the Family Medical Leave Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Prior to clerking for the firm, Channing interned at the Sugar Law Center for Social & Economic Justice, the Center for Civil Justice, and Goodman Kalahar, P.C. She is an active member of the National Lawyers Guild and a consistent and vocal advocate of social justice.

Channing received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where she majored in English Literature and minored in European History. She went on to graduate from Wayne State University Law School in 2016. During law school, she served on the Executive Board of the law school’s The Journal of Law in Society.

Channing and her husband, Buddy Holmes, enjoy traveling, attending sporting events and spending time with their family, friends, and three dogs.
