Megan A. Bonanni

Megan Bonanni is a partner with Pitt McGehee Palmer & Rivers. She has extensive experience in employment law and has successfully advocated for the rights of employees individually and in nationwide class actions, group actions and multi-party cases.
Bonanni has litigated cases in federal court, state court and private arbitration and has represented clients in actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); and the Whistleblower Protection Act (WPA).
Bonanni regularly advocates for individual workers and groups of employees in cases involving sexual harassment; wage and hours claims; employment contracts; wrongful and retaliatory termination; severance agreement negotiations and disability claims.
In addition, she has deep experience in litigating a full range of workplace discrimination and harassment cases, including those based on age, gender, race, religion and national origin. Bonanni has also conducted sexual harassment training and workshops for professional organizations, associations and human resources executives.
She has been cited in newspaper, TV and radio legal coverage regarding sexual harassment, age discrimination and her representation of exotic dancers in several high-visibility FLSA cases related to employee misclassification and wage theft.
Bonanni has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, The American Lawyer (2011 Top Lawyer) and been named to Michigan Super Lawyers (2012-2016) and its 2016 listing of the Top 25 Women Consumer Lawyers in Michigan.
She was also one of 30 attorneys selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly for its Class of 2015 Women in the Law.
Bonanni is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and Wayne State University Law School. As an undergraduate and law school student, she studied in France (University of Caen) and England (University of Warwick). She is also fluent in French.

Bonanni and her husband Camille, a commercial film editor, are the parents of Eli and Liv. She has a passion for art, travel, music, cooking and yoga.
