Founding Partner Michael Pitt Inducted into the 2025 Lawdragon Hall of Fame

The entire Pitt McGehee Palmer Bonanni & Rivers team offers our heartful congratulations to Founding Partner Michael Pitt on his recent induction into the 2025 Lawdragon Hall of Fame.

With an extraordinary legal career spanning over 50 years, Michael has represented hundreds of individuals in their disputes with employers, government officials, corporations, and insurance companies.  Additionally, Michael has been designated as Class Counsel in major cases involving employment rights, sexual abuse, and prisoner rights. His innovative application of legal principles has provided thousands of individuals with critical protections through landmark decisions.

This past year, Michael and his colleagues achieved a significant $13 million class action settlement against the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for an unannounced active shooter drill at a state-run pediatric psychiatric hospital, securing justice for the affected families.

The Lawdragon Hall of Fame recognizes lawyers whose work has created lasting impacts, established entire legal practices, and secured civil rights for millions. Michael’s tireless advocacy on behalf of those who have been wronged, including individuals impacted by the Flint Water Crisis and survivors of Larry Nassar’s abuse, exemplifies the commitment and legacy celebrated by this honor.
