Partner Megan Bonanni Interviewed on “The Litigation War Room Podcast”
Megan Bonanni recently appeared on The Litigation War Room podcast, where she discussed thelandmark $380 million settlement in the Dr. Larry Nassar sex abuse cases against USA Gymnastics, in addition to addressing the years of institutional failures that enabled the abuse of young women in the sport. Megan, along with Ilan Scharf, explored the innovative negotiation and mediation strategies that led to this historic resolution, along with the challenges they faced in securing justice for survivors.
Beyond the significant financial settlement, Megan and Ilan emphasize the broader impact of the case and the key restorative justice reforms that were instituted—such as survivor representation on key committees and strengthened policies to protect athletes.
Megan served as one of a small group of attorneys representing the Survivors’ Creditor Committee for over 400 victims of former Olympic women’s gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, securing a $380 million dollar recovery against United States Gymnastics and the United States Olympic Committee.
The Litigation War Room is hosted by Maxwell Goss, the owner and principal attorney of Maxwell Goss Law. This podcast delivers compelling stories and valuable insights to help lawyers elevate their litigation skills and achieve more successful case outcomes.
