Meet Amy Surdu  

Amy is a 2L at the University of Detroit Mercy Law with a performing arts and real estate background. She is passionate about civil rights, environmental law, and intellectual property issues. Amy is particularly looking forward to working on the Flint Water case this summer. 

Meet James Odea  

James is a recent graduate of Wayne State University Law School with passion for civil rights and employment law. Earlier this year, James published “Disability, Dualism, & Gender Dysphoria: The Persistent Need for an Amended ADA” in The Wayne Law Review, discussing converging issues in trans rights and disability law. 

Meet Jillian Gordner 
Jillian is a rising 3L at the University of Michigan Law School. She is interested in civil rights and criminal justice reform. Before law school, Jillian worked for the U.S. Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) running a campaign to clean up the country’s most dangerous toxic waste sites. She is excited to take on assignments that contribute meaningfully to advancing civil rights.
