Robert Palmer Honored with the Cook-Friedman Civility Award

Last night Robert “Bob” Palmer was honored with the Cook-Friedman Civility Award from the Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

This award recognizes an attorney who is an outstanding example of professional excellence and civility. Named after former Chief Judge Julian Abele Cook, Jr. and Chief Judge Bernard A. Friedman, criteria requirements for this award include an attorney being significantly engaged in the practice of civil law, demonstrating high levels of legal competency and professionalism, and has demonstrated a sense of dignity, decency, candor, fair play, and securing justice.

Bob epitomizes the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and civility. With a longstanding legal career and nearly two decades as a partner, Bob is known for his exceptional competency, ethicality, and sincere personal courtesy. He connects genuinely with everyone he meets, creating relationships through his varied interests.

Bob stands out in an era where litigation often involves gamesmanship, maintaining respect for others, including opposing counsel, witnesses, and court officials. He advocates vigorously for his clients while upholding honesty and integrity.
